Bridal makeup guideline

Recently, I saw quite a lot of wedding advertisings and photos from different channel that make me to write this article about bridal makeup guideline. Hopefully that can give you a little bit hints to make the best of you in your big day, I believe that probably one of the most memorable and important day of any couples’ life, especially the bride with essential appropriate makeup on the wedding day. Let’s look at some tips to help you out from stress and panic about being look better than ever.

Last week, I talked to two of my colleagues that the brides are always be the spot at any wedding which was no offence to any grooms out there. It is because the wedding dresses, accessories, beautiful makeup and hair, all those elements are so much easier to catch the audiences’ eyes and cameras on the bride. I think none of women wants to ruin such precious moment by carrying inappropriate look.  Hence, I suggest the makeup should be expressed the natural beauty of bride which can be long-lasting after years to look back those photos.
Furthermore, I am not recommended brides to change lots makeup during the big day because that will look very thick of the base and affect the skin also reduce the interaction time with audiences who want to share your happiness.  Always should be remembered “Less is More” which is absolutely right from my personal view. Therefore, don’t be too greedy and change makeup frequently that day, it should have a little bit touch up with powder once in awhile and I think 3-4 different looks are maximum.

Please do try to follow below tips to make you the most beautiful bride on the special day.
1.      Start taking care of your skin at least 3 months before the wedding day. Try your best to have facial once a week at least apart from your regular daily skin care steps (cleansing/ exfoliating/ toning and moisturizing).  For the exfoliating, that should be once or twice a week. To ensure you have enough sleep, eat healthy and regular exercises which is not only can help stimulating metabolism, also good body shape.

2.      The makeup base is very important for the day, you should choose a long-lasting foundation and apply it very lightly instead of using water base or mineral base which all wear off in couple hours or even less during summer weather.  To have a natural clean beauty look, the base is always come first so really should try to use long-lasting and oil-free matte foundation.

3.      During the day, I recommended to use natural makeup but that is not meaning not applying any colours after foundation.  What I mean is to apply light makeup and try to focus on one part of face. For example, it either focuses on eyes or cheeks or lips makeup, you can’t put same colour proportion on each area.  However, the evening look should be a little heavier than normal because of different lighting and flash lights of cameras.  The makeup colour normally has gone around 20-30%.  So go a little more liberal with blush, pick a slightly darker shade for eye shadow (might with some sliver/white/glitter if suitable but depends on the bone structure of bride) and be ever so slightly bolder with lipstick but as said, try not to focus more than one part.
